The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (QCF) is aimed at those individuals who already are, or intend to be, food handlers working within the catering industry.

It will provide learners with the knowledge of basic food safety practices that are essential within the catering industry as well as identifying the hazards and risks to food safety from both preparation and storage procedures to those presented by personnel when handling food.

Learners gaining this qualification will be able to identify how to implement changes in their food handling practices in order to improve the safety of their catering services and also be in line with industry and regulatory standards.

There are no prerequisites for this qualification .
